If you fancy a relaxing break in peaceful natural surroundings this winter, head to the winter hiking village of Kartitsch – a real hideaway in the East Tyrolean mountains with wide, well-groomed trails, sweeping views, and an extra dose of tranquility.
You can start right on the marked winter trails – ideal for a leisurely walk with photo stops, snowball fights with the kids, or a short walk before stopping for refreshments at a mountain hut. If you like, you can plan a short panoramic loop, warm up with tea from your backpack, or treat yourself to soup in the hut later – view included.
Kartitsch is easily accessible from harry’s home Lienz: arrive, lace up your warm shoes, and start walking. Perfect for anyone looking for an uncomplicated winter experience with plenty of views – without the hustle and bustle of the slopes, but with real winter hiking magic.

After a day in the snow, warmth is just what you need. In our wellness area, you can loosen up your muscles, take a deep breath, and let the winter day come to a peaceful end. Short sauna sessions, a refreshing shower, and a break in the relaxation area—that’s all it takes to restore your balance. Back in your room or studio, you can make yourself comfortable with a warm drink and relax.
Our tip: Two to three short sauna sessions with breaks in between – pleasant, suitable for everyday use, and ideal for a good night’s sleep.
