Must-Do

Lake Tristach

If you are looking for a nice place to cool off in summer, the best place to go is Lake Tristach – the idyllically situated local lake of the sunny town. The small natural lake is located just a few minutes outside of Lienz and offers everything that warm days need: clear water, a tranquil forest backdrop and plenty of space to take a deep breath.

It’s best to start early: first a leisurely circular walk along the shore, then a dip in the water or a few relaxed laps on the SUP. Those who prefer to read, doze or let their gaze wander will find plenty of shady spots under old trees. Later, the beach café is worth a visit – coffee or ice cream taste even better with a view of the Dolomites.

Lake Tristach can also be reached quickly and easily by e-bike from harry’s home Lienz – simply hire one and set off.
